The Comedians Tiffany Haddish & Aries Spears Accused of Child Sexual Abuse

Jane Doe and her younger brother claim to have referred to Tiffany Haddish as "Auntie Tiff" as children. Through the comedy tour, the comedian had gotten to know their mother, and she used to refer to the kids as her "niece" and "nephew."

However, the siblings claim that Haddish and her fellow comic, Aries Spears, recruited each of them to engage in inappropriate acts on camera when they were children in a pro se lawsuit that was filed on Monday night.

Jane is the anonymous plaintiff in the case on behalf of both herself and her brother, who is a minor.

Due to their ages at the time of the charges, Jane Doe, now 22, and her younger brother John, now 14, chose pseudonyms. (Jane, who is also John's guardian, is the plaintiff in the case both on her own behalf and on behalf of her younger brother.)

The accusation against Haddish and Mad TV alum Spears by the siblings is based on two alleged occurrences in which Haddish and Spears allegedly urged one of the siblings to engage in sexually explicit behavior on video while underage.

Spears and Haddish's representatives did not respond to a request for comment from The Daily Beast.

John was 7 years old and Jane was 14 at the time of the purported video filming. Their mother claims she and Haddish connected over their shared source of conflict after meeting through comedy.

"We were both going through a divorce," the mother told The Daily Beast. Divorces are messy, messy, nasty, messy. Just recently, we came incredibly, incredibly close.

Haddish contacted the family "every birthday and every Christmas," the lawsuit claims. Haddish has consistently checked in for years, whether it be from a movie shoot or abroad, according to the mother of the siblings.
